Danqing Yin joined the UNIV 101 team in 2017. She is currently a second-year doctoral student in the Education Policy program at the KU School of Education.

Danqing is a global citizen as she has been to schools in Hefei, Beijing, Kagawa, Washington D.C, Philadelphia and Lawrence. Before college, she moderated mentoring programs for HIV-positive teenagers in Anhui; she taught disadvantaged students in a Chinese rural area in 2009; she held a TEDxPekingUniversity event with the theme “the Aha! Moment” in 2015; she led an Education Policy organization that had weekly discussions on a wide range of education related issues including gender and education, comparative education, equity and education at the University of Pennsylvania in 2017; and she is currently co-authoring a book on education innovation...Her passion towards education has never stopped. Danqing Yin is also an amateur half-marathon runner.

My first year in college, I opened myself to plenty of international events where I made friends with people from all over the worlds. It is fascinating to learn new things: new language, new culture and new ideas!”
