Gussie Millar is a first-year graduate student in the Higher Education Administration Program here at KU. She serves as the Graduate Assistant for The Office of First-Year Experience. In this role, she will assist with Orientation and Programming, Hawk Week, and other first-year programs. She will also be co-teaching a UNIV 101 Course: University, Well-being & You.

Gussie received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with minors in Legal Studies and Criminal Justice from Colorado State University, Fort Collins in May of 2020. In her free time, she likes to explore the outdoors, go hiking or paddle boarding, camping, and playing frisbee with her friends and family.

"My first year of college was fantastic! I got involved in lots of extracurriculars which positively impacted and ultimately changed my plan for after college. I also learned that it's okay to be nervous about a big change, but it's important to get out of your comfort zone and try new things and you never know where that might take you!"
