  • Hawk Week Bike Ride

    Start: 08/28/2016 - 5:00pm
    End: 08/28/2016 - 6:30pm

This event will be hosted by the Center for Sustainability which strives to integrate sustainability into education, research, campus operations and campus life.

Meet beginning at 4:45pm in between Self and Lewis Halls. If you have a helmet, please bring it with you! If you do not have a bike, you can still join us! We'll have a limited number of bikes on loan from Ambler Recreation Center for this event. First come, first served.

You will be guided on an easy-going ride through campus by experienced riders to help you feel comfortable and confident riding on the road. They will help you with bike safety rules and tips, show you points of interest, and the best and easiest ways to get around. This is a great chance to become familiar with bike resources on campus, gain confidence in bike skills and bike safety, and make friends!

For those who want to ride beyond campus, we'll take an optional extended ride to downtown Lawrence, showing how to safely get to community hotspots!

If you would like to know more about this event or have any questions please contact Jeff Severin at jseverin@ku.edu.
