The Office of First-Year Experience will host orientation sessions from June 9 – July 17, and will resume operations mid-August for additional dates. There are also sessions in April for transfer students.
Most students starting at the University of Kansas in Fall of 2015 will attend a one-day session during the summer, though a limited number of two-day sessions will also be held. Date availability is determined by a student’s major and the capacity of advising units on given days. There are also dates specific to incoming freshmen and transfer students. For the most accurate list of dates available, please begin the registration process. The registration system will only show you dates in which advisors for your discipline are present, and which still have space available.
Examples of schedules can be found below. Exact sessions, times, and content subject to change. For one day orientations, all students must be present from 8:30 a.m - 5 p.m. and attend all sessions in order to enroll in classes. For two day sessions, students must be present from 1-6:30 p.m. on day one and 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. on day two to enroll in classes. All schedules include both a student schedule and a parent/guest schedule.
