Academic Welcomes 2018

All new students will attend an Academic Welcome associated with their professional school or the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences on Friday, August 17. This is a great opportunity for you to meet with the administration and faculty associated with your academic discipline, and prepare for classes.


School of Business
Capitol Federal Hall
3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
A welcome to new students who will be in the School of Business. We will have food, tours of Capitol Federal Hall as well as staff, faculty, and a clubs/organizations fair there to greet the students. For more information about this event please contact Elizabeth Karr at ekarr@ku.edu.
 
School of Music
Murphy Hall
3 p.m. - 5 p.m.
There will be a brief meeting for new School of Music undergraduate and graduate students with administration, then a reception with time for new students to visit with faculty, staff and some current students. Check-in begins at 3:00 pm in Marvin Hall for a brief welcome followed by tours through our studios, labs and classrooms. At 4:00 pm, head outside to our courtyard to enjoy a treat, meet our student organizations and learn about involvement opportunities.
