Common Book 2019

Every year, Jayhawks read a single book that speaks to the current moment and sparks a campuswide conversation.

After much consideration, we have decided to pause the program for the 2020-2021 school year. While we are sad to break the program’s long streak of intellectual engagement and community building, the challenges posed by COVID-19 leave us unable to guarantee a program year that will match our past successes. We reach this decision in partnership with Haskell Indian Nations University. We are excited to launch a jointly-selected common book program for 2021-2022. We hope this notice finds you well, and that you’ll be as eager as we are to engage with the long-awaited 2021-2022 KU Common Book!

A core component of the KU Common Book program, events allow our community to share experiences in settings that encourage conversation and thought.
