Online Orientation Schedule

Each student will participate in a virtual Orientation experience on their designated date.

On the day prior to your session, we’ll email you specific details about when to attend your Student to Student group and advising appointment.

Rock Chalk Welcome
Online Orientation sessions will kick off with a “Rock Chalk” welcome video that prepares students for the day’s events and introduces them to key academic resources at KU.

8:30–9:15 a.m.

Student to Student, group 1
Student to Student is your opportunity to connect with a whole new community of Jayhawks. You’ll meet your group’s designated Orientation assistant and peer advisor, who will introduce you to other new students with goals and interests similar to your own. Together, you’ll learn about KU resources and first-year opportunities and look ahead to the rest of the day’s Orientation events.

9:30–10:30 a.m.

Advising appointment, group 1
In a one-on-one Zoom session, you and your academic advisor will discuss your academic plans for your first year at KU, then build a schedule and enroll in classes for the fall semester

 
10–10:45 a.m.

Student to Student, group 2

11 a.m.–noon

Advising appointment, group 2

 
11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m.
